Other UK imports were also well to the fore in NSW (and then Queensland) with Dennis and Barbara Cheetham's Ch Cleavehill Helian Eriskay (IMP UK). 
A close relation of Special Edition, she won a Specialty BIS in 1979 as well as Royal Challenges. 
Ch Marshring Invincible (Imp UK), was imported in the early eighties by the Stephdie Kennels of Mrs Diane Seymour together with Mrs Sue Schweickle.

His pedigree was quite different to the other imports of that era, and he has certainly stamped his type on his progeny.  A dual Royal CC winner and Speciality BIS winner himself, some of his pups have followed on with son Ch Stephdie Nugget winning BIS at the 32nd Speciality and grandson Ch Stephdie Winter Boy BIS at the 40th.

Ch Wyngarde Quality Street, an interesting blend of the older UK and American lines and owned by Ray Barratt of the Cudgera Kennels, was also winning well at this time. She was mated to a son of Ch Hawkhill Crepello (IMP UK) and produced the well known winning bitch Ch Cudgera Malt n Honey, another Royal Challenge and Speciality BIS winner.  Honey  herself produced probably the best known Cudgera and one of the biggest winning Springers of the Eighties, Ch Cudgera Grand Slam.  A speciality BIS winner and another Sydney Royal BIG winner, he was by Ch Windmere Summer Knight.

Kinsheran Springers began with a Clanach Argyle Tartan grand daughter and by using Ch Windmere Summer Knight and his son Grand Slam have produced some of Victoria's most consistent Royal and speciality CC winners of recent times.

With the importation of so many closely bred dogs from the UK, the older pre-Teal bloodlines were beginning to be outnumbered. With the exception of a few kennels in Queensland, Perth and  the Cudgeras in NSW, few kennels had strong ties with those early imports.  However, in 1983, with the importation of a bitch from New Zealand, they were brought well to the fore again.  The bitch was NZ Ch Maketawa Venus Di Milo and the importers were David and Stephanie Rickard of Victoria who  imported four of the closely bred English Springers

previously mentioned. Venus and her sister, NZ Ch & Aus Ch Maketawa Mona Lisa (who joined Kaye McGhie at "Fraelighte"), not only  carried  Tallawalla lines but were related  to the two Hilrays boys imported from the States, NZ Ch Hilrays Meritorious (Imported into NZ) and Ch  Hilrays Avant Garde (imported into Australia), as well as Ch Hawkhill Crepello (imp UK).  Venus blended with other Wongan bloodlines can be found behind several recent winning springer kennels including the Babeuf kennels in Victoria (via Ch Wongan Avant Apache and Ch Wongan Chiffon) and the Beautelles of Steve and Jackie Wraith in Wodonga (now New Zealand), and many more kennels Australia wide.
